Johnny Loftus received his bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and Photography from Bates College in Lewiston Maine, in 2022. His undergrad thesis in neuroscience focused on heterogeneity within the mouse accessory olfactory bulb. For his photography thesis, Johnny worked with a non-profit focused on helping people with Substance Use Disorder. Johnny joined the lab in October 2022 and plans to get his PhD in neuroscience to help create solutions to help reverse the long-term effects of drugs on the brain. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, tennis, photography, and spending time in Maine on the beach, lake and in the mountains.
